            I’m Katie, and I study French, Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Sheffield. I'm in my third year and as part of my degree I have to spend the whole year abroad! So I decided to make a standard Year Abroad blog to keep everyone updated with what I’m up to and to keep a record of the things I get up to!

French and Spanish are my two major languages so I have to split the year between the two. Portuguese is my minor language so I don’t have to spend any of my time in a Portuguese speaking country, but I’m hoping to go to a summer school in Portugal after I’ve finished in Spain.

To begin with I’m going to be spending 5 months in France working as a Comenius teaching assistant in a Primary School in a little village just outside La Rochelle, on the West Coast of France.

 After that I’m going to study at the University of Seville, in the South of Spain for about 4 months.

I'm also going to attempt to do a Photo 365 challenge, which is where you take a photo every single day for a year, i'll be uploading these onto my Flickr account, but I can't promise it'll be every day! I'll probably upload a few days at a time and the most recent photo uploaded will show on the sidebar of this blog.
